Building Package Options
BUILDING PACKAGE ONE (Non Assembled)
All clients’ purchase a LIGHTHOUSE based on the deposit and production payment schedule that goes along with the Purchase Contract through the Building Package 1. This package incorporates all the building plans, building permit drawings, structural components, windows, decking, roofing, doors and selected finishing’s based on a clients’ selection. The Building Package One is then shipped by container to a client’s site where a LIGHTHOUSE Technician (supplied as part of the purchase contract) works with a local contractor to assemble the house to the point where the house is ready for interior finishing. The foundation requirements are supplied by LIGHTHOUSE to the Client’s foundation contractor and are based typically on the site geotech requirements that the client’s specific site conditions dictate. LIGHTHOUSE will provide you with technical assistance to ensure that your home meets our construction standards.
BUILDING PACKAGE TWO (Assembled)
The site assembly is directed by a LIGHTHOUSE Technician. A local contractor is hired and the assembly of the house (upon arrival by container) is a methodical process, as all the structural components fit together in a building block system. A complete lock-up structure is achieved at this stage ready for interior finishing. For extreme climates, higher insulation values are available. A LIGHTHOUSE home can be heated using any of the conventional methods, including; wood burning stoves, forced air furnaces or electric baseboard heaters. Advanced technologies such as radiant heating can also be readily incorporated.
BUILDING PACKAGE THREE
(Interior Finishing)
At this stage a client’s personal preference really comes to light through a local contractor/interior designer. The unique design of a LIGHTHOUSE home is very liberating for an interior designer. All interior work can easily be accomplished by local trades people or experienced do-it-yourselfers. Complete freedom of design is allowed because there are no interior structural walls to limit room layout choices. The flexible design also allows freedom to change the interior over time as your needs change. The LIGHTHOUSE standard designs show some layout ideas, but the possibilities are limitless and at the Building Package One stage custom designs to suit each client can be incorporated in the building permit plans.
